Xavien Howard Rips Sean Payton for Not Sitting Russell

Gray Frame Corner

Russell Wilson, according to the Dolphins, is deserving of better.

Wilson participated on every offensive play in the Broncos' 70-20 loss to the Dolphins, despite the fact that most of the second half saw the game far out of hand.

According to Adam H. Beasley of ProFootballNetwork, Dolphins CB Xavien Howard criticized coach Sean Payton's choice to continue using Wilson as "totally disrespectful."

"That man contributed greatly to this game. They must improve on that side. Guys like him cannot be left in the open.

While many of the other Broncos players continued in the lopsided game, the 34-year-old quarterback took 12 hits during the contest, including one sack.

In the second half, a hit from Dolphins defensive end Christian Wilkins put Wilson out cold.

Wilson claimed that he had "never experienced" anything similar during his time in the NFL

which makes sense given that the 50-point defeat was one of the largest routs in league annals.
