After missing the first two weeks of the season due to a strained knee, Kayvon Thibodeaux concluded his debut campaign with just four sacks despite being selected fifth overall by the Giants in the 2022 selection.
Perhaps the defensive end will provide more after his sack against the 49ers in the defeat last Thursday.
After practice on Thursday, Thibodeaux stated, "I think the first one is big." "It relieves some of the pressure so you can play outside.
But I still have to perform well in the run game, perform well in the pass, drop back in coverage, and do the things I have to do.
The 22-year-old Thibodeaux said of the sack versus San Francisco, "It's always good to have an impact."
"Everyone takes note of your actions when you have a statistically significant impact. But … I make an effort to give my fullest effort and not concentrate on just one subject.
Micah Parsons of Dallas, who was chosen by the Cowboys with the 12th overall choice in 2021, has drawn early comparisons to Thibodeaux, but neither player has quite lived up to them.
He has probably emerged as the league's most feared defender.
